How to use this tool

Total a weekly time card from daily clock-in, clock-out, and unpaid break entries. The calculator handles overnight shifts, separates regular and overtime hours, and can estimate gross pay.

  1. STEP 1Enter clock-in and clock-out times for each day worked.
  2. STEP 2Subtract unpaid breaks in minutes and adjust the weekly overtime threshold if needed.
  3. STEP 3Optionally add an hourly rate, then calculate the weekly totals.

Paid time equals clock-out minus clock-in minus unpaid breaks. Overtime and pay estimates are for planning only; actual rules vary by jurisdiction, employer, contract, and workweek definition.

All inputs and calculations stay in your browser; TimeKit does not send your entries to a server.

Frequently asked questions

Does the calculator subtract lunch breaks?

Yes. Enter each unpaid break in minutes and it is subtracted from that day’s shift total.

How are overnight shifts calculated?

When clock-out is earlier than clock-in, the calculator treats clock-out as occurring on the following day.

Is the pay estimate suitable for payroll?

No. It is a planning estimate using a 1.5× overtime rate. Confirm taxes, rounding, overtime eligibility, and local labor rules with your payroll records.
