Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 August 2026
1. What we collect
Nothing you type into a tool. Every calculation on this site runs in your browser using JavaScript. The dates, times, wages, and shift hours you enter are never transmitted to us and never stored on a server.
If you send us a message through the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you chose to provide, and we use them only to reply.
2. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and see which tools people use. It is loaded only after you press Allow on the cookie notice. Until then, Google Consent Mode holds analytics storage in a denied state and no analytics cookies are written.
When you do consent, Google sets cookies beginning with _ga to distinguish repeat visits. We see aggregate reports — page views, approximate country, browser, referring site — and cannot identify you from them. IP addresses are anonymised by Google before we ever see the data.
3. Cookies and local storage
One entry in your browser's local storage, timekit-analytics-consent, records whether you allowed or declined analytics. It is not a cookie, is never sent to a server, and exists so we stop asking on every visit.
The analytics cookies described above are set only with your consent. We set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
4. Changing your mind
Clear your browser's site data for mytimekit.com and the cookie notice will appear again on your next visit, letting you make a different choice. You may also block cookies for this site in your browser settings; the tools will keep working normally.
5. Advertising
We do not currently display advertising. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any advertising code is added, and personalised advertising will be gated behind the same consent notice.
6. Your rights in the EEA and UK (GDPR)
Our lawful basis for analytics is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time as described above. Our lawful basis for replying to a contact form message is our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us.
You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Contact form messages are kept for up to twelve months and then deleted. Analytics data is retained by Google for fourteen months.
7. Your rights in California (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not sell or share personal information, and we have no financial incentive programmes. California residents may request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected, request deletion, and are entitled not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
8. Children
TimeKit is a general-purpose set of utilities and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Third parties
The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes request logs including IP addresses for security and operational purposes. Google Analytics is the only other third party, and only with your consent. Links to external sites are governed by those sites' own policies.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we handle personal data will also reset the cookie notice so you can review your choice.
11. Contact
Questions about this policy, or a request to exercise any of the rights above, can be sent through our contact page. We reply within 1–2 business days.
